With the disparity between EMTs and Paramedics wages/salaries I question the validity of this survey when you combine data sets…
It’s ridiculous what these people are paid!! Medics HAVE to work at least two jobs just to be able to feed their families! They put themselves in dangerous situations and save lives! You couldn’t find a RN or MD who would even work for these wages! We will all need them at one point or another…. think of that!!

I would say that’s not accurate. Most of our staff in Sumter county, Florida are way under that average.
Embarrassing, and it’s mostly because we are not banded together, and act ” Blue collarish” sometimes.
