IL EMTs don’t make $20/hr unless you’re on a union fire department. Even then you’re doing both fire and ems. Private EMT-B you’re making about $9/hr. Private Medic about $11-15/hr.

Louisiana was completely left off the list. I don’t know any EMT’s that make over $9-$10 a hour here but our shifts are also 48 & 72 hours.
California is NOT that high. AMR So- Cal starts at 10.88!! Haha Check your sources again!
That all seems a bit high. Advanced EMTs are lucky to start at 10 and there isn’t much room after that.
