  1. This is insane inaccurate for Illinois. Johnson county pays paramedics $12.02/hour and u only get paid 16 for your 24 hours. Pope county pays paramedics $10/hour and again they are paid 16 for 24 hours. Pulaski county starts paramedics at $12/hour. Massac county starts a paramedic at around $16/hour. These are all 911 services and not transfer services.

  2. Nyc , that number is emt at a private hospital based 911 , fire ems starts at 15.oo , medic rounds about 30 / hr. But transport emts make approx 11 to 14 an hour , and medics about 23 per hour No 911.
But i still think we dont make enough with our cost of living being so high.

  3. NYS Emts are only paid in small areas such as NYC, buffalo, Albany, and Syracuse. If there’s more areas my mistake. There is more volunter units in the rest of the state. Now in the volunteer units the only ones getting paid are the medics. Now in larger cities such as NYC medics make around 20 per hr for private agencies, around 25 per hr with hospitals. And emts in NYC start at about 10-11 per hr. Now for other parts of the state, emts barely make minimum wage. Which is why many of us are less than thrilled that fast food workers are going to be paid much more than us. Medics in the rest of the state are usually in a per diem pay scale, which many agencies will pay out up to 15 per hr.

  4. Upstate New York EMTs start around $12 an hour in 2016, this year average is about $13 an hour. No where near what is listed. Must have only looked at New York City.

  5. That is not even close those numbers are not even accurate. They are factoring in firefighters that are EMTs. Those wages are completely false for Massachusetts. Most EMTs starting rate is $12 an hour. Please go back and check your fait’s!!! You only see that if you work for Municipality
