Please make sure you DO FACT CHECKS before you do stories. I have been working in in this field for 15 years. And NEVER have I met anyone or made close to your projection on a sterile tech. Sterile processing techs don’t make anywhere near that amount lol. Where did you get your numbers from?
I’m a surgical tech and the manager of Central sterile and that pay is definitely the pay for a surgical tech. Ives been fighting for 3 years straight to get my employees paid like surgical techs. We have the hardest job and considered the heart of the hospital but gets paid poorly and treated like crap. Get ya facts straight fr. #CentralSterileTechsFightTogether
I’m not sure where you’re getting such a high pay rate for Sterile Processing Technicians…but the actual rate falls around $25-32,000/year not $77,000/yr. Just saying from someone who actually works in the field.
